Artist Of The Month For July - Trendafila Trendafilova
Not everyone can see the world creatively, but those who can create magic are the saviors of life. Born in 1989, Trendafila Trendafilova is brought up in the beautiful city of Varna, Bulgaria. Attracted to everything beyond what the eyes could see, Trendafila’s paintings swim on a surreal plane—a region that looks real but proposes the unseen.
To study the pretext that underlines a phenomenon, Trendafila projects an undying will to express the hidden contexts. Hence, the way Trendafila thinks and perceives speaks volumes about her undaunted personality. Going beyond the world of nature and landscape painting, she has successfully blended technology with an innate sense of self-derived aesthetics.
Precisely, her paintings show the connection between every artificial aspect of the present day with nature.
She opines, “In today's modern digital world, the "image" is a way of communication, it has lost many of its authentic values making it a separate object of art.”
While fiddling with primary media of acrylic and digital painting, she also creates short videos and music. Her works are a soul-touching merger of abstraction and reality.
Ranging in a variety of subjects that deal with myths, self-portraits, socio-cultural narratives, and human conscience, her colour palette leaps on a refreshing step, almost letting us believe in the self-created utopia. And according to her, it is a cosmic language that is the brightest creation of mankind—and a meta connection that has a link in the dreams.
Having participated in many exhibitions, Trendafila holds a master's degree in fine arts from the National Academy of Art, Bulgaria. Kindling the branch of existentialism, Trendafila compulsively lives in present, constantly breaking chords from the past.
